Vanilla Roasted Pears

Vanilla Roasted Pears

019Last week after making creme brulee, I had an extra vanilla bean that I wanted to use up in a recipe. While searching, I came across this recipe with pears, my favorite fruit. I liked the idea of turning a healthy snack into a dessert. This recipe was very quick and easy. Served with a scoop of ice-cream, it was a wonderful ending to our meal for the night.

Happy Friday everyone! I cannot believe tomorrow is June 1st already. So much has happened over this past month. I finished my last finals in school, I graduated college, and I finished my internship that I have been working at for the past year. Now, it’s just nice to be enjoying some time off (and working on my blog of course!). Something that has also happened this past month is I have gotten really into Instagram. I have been using it for many months, but not taking many pictures. But I have certainly gotten hooked over the past few weeks in how I love just taking and sharing quick pics. If you have Instagram, follow me here. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Crème Brûlée

Crème Brûlée

045The first time I remember having Crème Brûlée was when I was 10 years old and it was my family’s first trip to Europe together. While in Paris we went to dinner and we ordered crème brûlée for dessert. I still remember this interesting, creamy dessert that had a very sugary taste. Most recently, I had crème brûlée (seen here) and it brought me back to that restaurant in Paris and decided I wanted to create this recipe for myself and honestly, I was stunned at how amazing it turned out!

Cinnamon Sugar Breakfast Puffs

Cinnamon Sugar Breakfast Puffs

146This recipe caught my eye by simply seeing the name. Anything sugary and sweet is a must try in my book. I was reminded of the munchkin donuts when I saw these and I absolutely had to see if they were going to be as good as they looked in the picture. The result: a delectable little morsel of cinnamon sugary goodness. Very sweet and delicate and perfect for the go in the morning.

Asparagus, Zucchini, and Ricotta Tart

Asparagus, Zucchini, and Ricotta Tart

065Asparagus is one of the few vegetables that I really love. When I saw this amazing recipe on Food 52, I had to make it. This recipe probably took me twice as long as it should have, but I have never made anything like this in my previous cooking career. But the work and the wait was well worth it. When this came out of the oven, it was certainly a site to see and not to mention that it tasted as good as it looked; Probably the best thing I’ve ever made!
